The supported employment framework is designed for clients whose level of functioning enables them to integrate more independently at jobs in the community. Some start their vocational rehabilitation in this framework while others start with transitional employment and when they are ready, advance to supported employment. The client, together with his vocation coach, draw up a personal progress plan that will allow him to work in relative independence at a job in the mainstream workplace, including handling employer-employee relations and in social conditions as guaranteed by law.

When the client is ready, a practical discussion takes place to assess which field he wants to train for or work at based on his skills, talents and personal inclinations. (Some are entitled to studies funded by the National Insurance Institute as part of the rehabilitation package). After coping with a serious illness that caused social disconnection, decline in function and dependence in all aspects of life, he now becomes an independent, creative and enterprising employee at a mainstream job. Of course, even after successful integration at work, the professional staff is available to support and guide him down the road to recovery.

Supported employment is for men and women aged 18 and above who have established eligibility for a government rehabilitation package and have secured government approval for supported employment.

Work hours are according to the specific requirements of the employers and the needs of the employees.
