Bayit Cam is the largest mental health service provider in Israel. We operate 7 mental health clinics that provide a variety of psychological and psychiatric services for adults and children using various treatment interventions.
Every day the phones keep ringing – calls from family members or the person himself either on their own initiative or upon the referral of their doctors, rabbis and community leaders.
We make sure to listen to each person and guide him with sensitivity and empathy towards the treatment program that best suits his needs.
The clinic offers a top-notch team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and therapists who provide professional psychiatric and/or therapeutic care for each patient.

When appropriate, we guide and accompany patients through the process of establishing entitlement to rehabilitation basket services until they are optimally integrated at vocational rehabilitation frameworks.
We offer children a combination of various therapies such as art therapy, music therapy and psychodrama. Adapting the treatment style to the child’s developmental stage and unique needs enables him to overcome trauma and return to normal life and healthy development, both personally and socially.
Psychiatric Care

Psychiatric care is designed to reduce symptoms of the disease or emotional distress and to significantly improve the patient’s ability to function daily. Often the psychiatrist works in cooperation with other mental health service providers such as psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and the social services authority.
At Bayit Cham we have a team of experienced psychiatrists working under the medical supervision of Dr. Assaf Caspi, director of our clinics throughout Israel as well as director of the ambulatory psychiatric services department at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.

Psychiatric Treatment: The Process
At first, the patient undergoes an initial psychiatric assessment. He is asked a variety of questions; the responses indicate the nature and severity of his mental state. Accordingly, the psychiatrist assesses if medication can improve the patient’s condition and when appropriate, prescribes medication to promote the patient’s wellbeing. In some cases, the psychiatrist recommends a combination of medication and therapy; other times, he may decide that there is no need for medication at this stage for various reasons. After deciding on the course of treatment, the patient must come in for periodic check-ups to assess the efficacy of the treatment, adjust it or try alternative treatment for maximal benefit.

Many times in life there is a need for psychotherapy. Difficulties may arise in the wake of a crisis that occurs as a result of a change in marital status ( widowed, divorced or newly married), being fired from one’s job, challenging interpersonal relationships, difficult childhood memories and more. Sometime, you just need to unload and talk to someone who knows how to listen about a temporary emotional challenge; all you need is emotional support to ride the wave and return to normal, everyday routine.
In other cases, you may want to see a skilled, attentive mental health professional to find a healthy solution for difficult, unresolved situations.
Our clinical staff of psychologists and social workers uses a variety of treatment methods to provide you with the emotional relief that you seek.
