An open house was recently held for Bayit Cham’s Handyman program in Ashdod.
At open house, lots of people showed interest in joining the program, along with program graduates, participants about to complete the program’s current cycle, staff and funding partners. Among participating dignitaries were Ruthie Halperin, director of the National Insurance Institute’s rehabilitation unit in Ashdod, Rinat Re’em, deputy coordinator of the Southern District Rehabilitation Benefits department and more. We have enjoyed successful collaboration with these honored women and the bodies they represent over many fruitful years.
So what went on there? An introduction to the program and its expert staff, a tour of the place, participants sharing their positive experiences with the program and even a graduate relating how the program changed his life and how he currently works at a mainstream job with commitment and devotion.
