Last week, Bayit Cham’s Shiluvim Center hosted its annual sales fair for kindergarten teachers from all over Israel. At the fair (and every day at the center), Shiluvim sells craft kits made from recycled materials with which children are thrilled to fashion imaginative creations. The proceeds from the fair are earmarked to help pay the salaries of those who work at the center – women coping with mental health challenges. It is here that they go through a personal and professional process in preparation for employment at mainstream jobs. The women, together with the staff, participate in varied tasks at the center such as sorting, packaging, administration and other vital roles, sharing projects with the community and lots of other good things. Thanks to their hard, impressive work, this year, too, the fair was a smashing success. Hope to see you again next year?
Dear women, we’re so proud of you… WAY TO GO!❤
