Last week, the women in rehabilitation at the “Shiluvim” Vocational Training Center” went on an exciting and enjoyable outing to Jerusalem.
The destination was planned by the center’s trainees and staff; the entire trip was organized by a committee comprised of both Shiluvim trainees and professional staff who invested considerable thought and care into every detail.
The day began at the Kotel; from there they moved on to view “A Look into the Past” – a fascinating 3d virtual tour describing the activities that took place in the Beit Hamikdash.
They then toured Jerusalem’s Botanical Gardens including a train ride through the garden paths, taking in the stunning, pastoral landscape. This was followed by a sumptuous outdoor picnic enjoyed by all.
The atmosphere throughout the day was heart-warming, cohesive and uplifting.
They returned home later that afternoon feeling happy, satisfied and energized.
“We would like to thank Bayit Cham so much for treating us to this wonderful outing. Days like this give us a joyous experience and contribute to a close and cooperative atmosphere in our day-to-day lives at Shiluvim.”
