Dr. Eyal Fruchter, Director of the Mental Health Department at Rambam, expressed his admiration for Bayit Cham, stating, “We share a mutual biopsychosocial approach that keeps the patient’s best interests in view at all times, allowing for extensive consideration of his needs and providing comprehensive treatment.”
Bayit Cham department directors met with senior staff at the Rambam Hospital’s Psychiatry Department in Haifa and agreed on promoting collaboration for the benefit of the public.
On behalf of Bayit Cham, in attendance were Director Rabbi Arie Munk, Supported Employment Director Yael Ariel, and Projects Manager Noa Ettinger. Rambam Hospital representatives included Dr. Eyal Fruchter, Director of the Mental Health Department; Dr. Ofer Shamgar Director of the mental health clinic; and Mr. Avraham Levy, Director of Social Work in the Mental Health Department.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of deep mutual respect. Hospital staff presented their work with patients and Bayit Cham likewise presented its various services and departments, emphasizing professionalism, the level of service, and adaptation to the needs of the ultra-Orthodox sector, with emphasis on strict discretion.
Rabbi Munk presented the organization’s unique path since its founding in 1997 and the vision that guides its path, the professionalism that is an earmark of all its activities and its impressively broad scope.
Dr. Eyal Fruchter expressed his admiration, stating that “We love the way you work” and that “We share mutual evidence in our view of biopsychosocial treatment which seeks the patient’s greatest good and offers each person an extensive treatment plan.”
At the meeting’s end, collaborative activities were agreed upon for the benefit of the hospital’s and Bayit Cham’s patients, among them, collaboration between Rambam Hospital and Bayit Cham’s rehabilitation staff, family guidance on the topic of vocational rehabilitation, staff training, and more.
