Much excitement and joy permeated the air at Bayit Cham’s ‘Reishit’ graduation. The young women program participants now have completed a year full of courses, hands-on experience, and group training for employment in the mainstream workplace accompanied by the ‘Reishit Center’ staff. They are now ready to enter the job market or academic studies armed with confidence and hard-earned tools that they acquired throughout the year.
Officers of National Insurance Institute’s Bnei Brak branch including Director Baruch Marom, Director of the Rehabilitation Department Nissim Ben Bassat, and Director of Rehabilitation Benefits Avital Harush, in charge of the department all addressed the graduates and guests, as did Gitit Cohen, Director of Bayit Cham’s Vocational Rehabilitation Division, and, of course, representatives of the graduates themselves, who orchestrated the entire event and shared their achievements with the audience. Those who knew the participants at the very beginning stages of the program were awed by the change.
The graduation ushers in a new beginning – employment for those who completed the programs and a whole new cycle for yet other young women who will now join and be transformed by this amazing program that will accompany them in all aspects of their lives with an emphasis on self-management and living a full, satisfying life just as any other woman.
Before they parted, the guests received a souvenir that included, among other things, a note written by the participants expressing their ardent hopes – aspirations that would benefit any employee:
My wish, my hope, my ambition
Is to succeed in every way,
Despite obstacles – to joyfully achieve my mission,
Via all the paths – keep plodding along,
With challenges, much hope and song.
With acceptance of all situations
Cooperating in partnership on all levels and stations,
Actualizing the beautiful parts of me,
Bringing forth the desired forces in me,
Of activity, renewal and creativity.
