This January 2019, two new branches of the Benafsheinu Centers for the Treatment of Sexual Trauma were opened in Modi’in Illit and Elad.
Adult survivors of sexual trauma from the local population will be treated at these centers. Highly professional treatment will be provided by expert therapists who specialize in trauma.
An inspiring inauguration was held in the Modi’in Illit center. New treatment rooms were built with the assistance of the Reichbach family in memory of their dear wife and mother, Aliza, of blessed memory.
Many honored guests participated in the event, among then, the rabbi of Brachfeld Rabbi Yisrael Zicherman, Mayor Yaakov Gutterman, municipal council members, HMO representatives, Benafsheinu director Mrs. Edna Ludmir, director of the new Modi’in Illit center Mrs. Inbal Tivon and the Reichbach family.
Rabbi Zicherman opened the event thanking the Bayit Cham directorship headed by Rabbi Arie Munk for the professional mental health and emotional trauma treatment that the organization provides. He likewise thanked Mr. Yossi Reichbach for his generosity and partnership, noting the critical importance of setting up a local, easily accessible treatment center.
Mayor Gutterman affixed a mezuzah and noted the fruitful cooperation between Bayit Cham and the Modi’in Illit Municipality for the benefit of the city’s residents. He emphasized the direct, open channels of communication between the director of the municipal welfare department and all of Bayit Cham’s departments, and especially the Benafsheinu center. He, too, added warm words of appreciation to the Reichbach family, remarking that they have the merit of turning their pain and grief into a worthy memorial for their dear late wife and mother by establishing a center that enables suffering others to have a new lease on life.
Mr. Yossi Reichbach then affixed another mezuzah and presented a message in the name of his family: “Until today we had known about the importance of establishing this center, but witnessing what we have today, we understand more deeply how crucial it is. We are therefore especially gratified to be partners in these blessed activities. May this great merit be dedicated to the memory of my dear wife Aliza.”
Bayit Cham director Rabbi Arie Munk closed the event thanking the rabbi of Brachfeld, the city’s mayor, the director of the local welfare department, and the center’s staff for their joint effort on behalf of those whose suffering will be eased at the new center.

It is the only one of is kind that is geared to the specific needs of the Haredi sector. The Center was established by Bayit Cham six years ago and currently operates in Bnei Brak, Elad and Modi’in Illit. It is staffed by psychiatrists, psychologists and clinical social workers all of whom specialize in treating sexual trauma. The center also serves an information and training center in the field.
