For the past two years since Corona invaded our lives most crudely, we have started offering online Zoom workshops. Initially it was to enable clients to receive much needed services during lockdowns and quarantines but it has evolved to become an entirely useful tool.
The workshops are for our service recipients and are completely free! They are full of interesting and relevant content for the world of work and their purpose is to promote personal and professional advancement. We have also added customized courses where the group dynamic and the duration of the sessions have a great positive impact on learning and assimilating the knowledge.
Among the topics we’ve learned: assertiveness, increasing motivation, preparing for a job interview, preparing a CV, proactivity, communication and interpersonal relationships skills, preparing for professional training, intervention tools, self-branding, social anxiety, OCD, resilience, time management and… – and the list is still long….
But – guess what the hottest topic is??
Digital literacy!!!
Because today everyone makes an appointment for the bank using an app, even grandparents have Facebook, every job in the economy, simple as it may be, requires some digital access and it is not possible to be hired at higher positions or move ahead with advanced studies without knowledge of simple and complex Microsoft Office applications.
So we are at it in full force! Our service recipients will not be left behind, not even those from the ultra-Orthodox sector!
About two weeks ago, for example, we invited a guest speaker, an expert on the digital world of the ultra-Orthodox sector: Moishy Levinger, owner of the digital company “Smart Click”. He presented data on digital use in the sector, explained what works well and what less so, what is going to develop and how to be a kosher digital user.
It was a fascinating and super-helpful workshop. He convinced us😉
That’s how it is with us… we give it our all then then some😍
