This week a Chanukah party took place at the Shiluvim Vocational Training Center.
The party began with a delicious and healthful breakfast spread, followed by creative fun and then a beautiful Torah thought in honor of Chanukah. All Shiluvim members – staff and trainees in rehab – initiated, produced, prepared, created and worked on the preparations for the party. Accordingly, the atmosphere was invigorating; the collaborative effort produced a partnership that created lots of team spirit, pride and joy that included everyone at every level: Shiluvim program participants, staff, directors and guests…
The cherry on top was a musical performance by the legendary Ehud Banai!
Ehud thrilled us with his songs, his original compositions and his presence. He left everyone feeling empowered. ❤
It’s been several years now since Ehud has come to join us each Chanukah. The women in rehabilitation at Shiluvim eagerly anticipate his appearance because Ehud Banai’s strengths and energies simply increase the light! Ehud expands our hearts ❤ both by his very presence and also – and especially – because of his big, warm heart and his desire to come back to us every year to increase others’ happiness…
Ehud, thank you so much!
We wish you, all Shiluvim participants and e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e a very Happy Chanukah!!!
We must end with a song – one that symbolizes the Shiluvim center, in which dozens of women take their first steps towards integrating at jobs in the mainstream workplace…
It’s call “Yotzei La’Or – Going out into the Light” by Ehud Banai
